Celebrating National Gardening Exercise Day in Our Baltimore Garden Center

National Gardening Exercise Day is June 6th. This is a day that recognizes the health benefits of gardening. Besides the fresh air and Vitamin D you get from working outdoors, you can also improve stretching, balance, and flexibility. Plus, gardening is even known to burn some calories. Even if you are new at gardening and are still working on that green thumb, this is a day to get out there and work on your own yard, add some garden baskets or planters to your porch or patio, or go help out in a community garden in Baltimore. It's also a great time to visit our Baltimore flower shop, greenhouse, and garden center. Here, you'll find a huge variety of green and blooming plants, hanging baskets, planters, gardening supplies and gifts, and indoor and outdoor plants. Here are some of the great garden items you can expect to see: First, we have a selection of bedding plants as well as herbs that help you start your gardening effort with the basics. For example, you can add rosemary or basil, which also gives you some amazing fresh herbs to use in your cooking.  Second, we have some hanging baskets like these beauties: NEW GUINEA IMPATIENS HANGING BASKET New Guinea Impatiens are a summer favorite and come in a variety of colors based on availability. Adding Local Natural Beauty During Keep America Beautiful Month

April is Keep America Beautiful Month. It's also International Plant Appreciation Day on April 13th and Earth Day on April 20th. We all play a role in making where we live more beautiful by keeping it clean, adding flowers and plants, starting community gardens, and ensuring we show pride in where we live. As part of the community, our Baltimore flower shop also is taking part in making sure our little corner of America stays beautiful. To do our part, we just installed planters around Towson. This is part of a beautification process that is being led by the Towson Chamber of Commerce. As the article link notes, each planter contains two boxwood bushes that are surrounded by perennial flowers. These planters are located on major streets that include Pennsylvania, Chesapeake, and York Road. The flowers will be replaced with each season to allow a beautiful and colorful sight the whole year round. You can also add plants and flowers to your business and residence, beautifying everything with a natural perspective. In fact, many plants also provide excellent health benefits.  We can help you out with our wide selection of green plants and flowering plants. Here are some great examples of what we offer to help beautify your space: SUCCULENT GARDEN IN 10" TERRA COTTA BOWL This green plant display includes a wide range of petite succulent plants in a 10" terra cotta bowl. PANSY TUB Enjoy a vibrant assortment of pansies in a decorative pot. It is bursting with color. TWO RIEGER BEGONIAS IN A [...]
