This upcoming weekend, one of the first events to kick off the holiday season is Poinsettia Day on December 12th, an annual national special day enacted by Congress in 2002 to bring awareness to the poinsettia plant. Already popular during Christmas, the poinsettia has long represented the spirit of Christmas with its bright red blooms. There are other colors of poinsettia plants like white or marbled. In fact, there are over 100 varieties of poinsettia plants to enjoy. Among our Christmas plants, we offer many types of poinsettias to enjoy for your own home decor or to gift to someone else, including friends, colleagues, neighbors, teachers, service personnel and more. We do offer traditional single and double poinsettia plants in red and white, displayed in a basket with ribbon. However, we have other poinsettia presentations that offer a different look. For example, we have pixie poinsettias, which are smaller plants. We also offer a poinsettia tree, which provides a tall and grand effect. These are often nice to display in pairs to frame the front door. Our canoe boats, which are very popular for displaying green plants and flowering plants, also have been used to showcase poinsettia plants along with other colorful seasonal plants.
